                            SMU DEATH PENALTY In the early 1980's Southern Methodists University or SMU for short owned the best overall record in collegiate football. From 1981-1984 SMU rode on the back of their famed backfield the "pony express" that consisted of running backs Craig James and Eric Dickerson. But as the middle of the decade approach the university became greedy and committed a ton of violations against NCAA rules. Power of the football program ceded to the oil tycoons and estate men of the region and recruiting violation after recruiting violation was committed. From paying recruits to giving them gifts the only thing that matter was winning and this greed and coruption would ruin the football program forever.                    Cliff Tucker: The shot  Cliff tucker was a collegiate basketball player for the University of Maryland. He played in the last years of the Gary Williams era who was the Greatest coach in the schools history and he played with his teammate and friend Grevis Vasquez who is another Maryland legend. He was part of the 2009-10 team that tied long time hated rival Duke for the ACC regular season title. The Above picture is the aftermath of the infamous shot which has gone down as a great moment in sports history. Tucker played with the Terps from 2007-2011 staying all four years and then attempting to go pro after his collegiate career. On February 20th 2010 playing against ACC opponent Georgia Tech Cliff would hit a huge shot that would go down as one of the biggest moments in his career. THE BEGINNING OF THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS George Preston Marshall brought football team to the city of Boston in 1931 the team was formally the Duluth Eskimos, but when the moved to Boston the name was changed to the Boston Redskins after the Coach Lone star Dietz.  The team had early failures but quickly found some success in winning the NFL eastern division. The only problem was the team was ignored in favor of the Harvard and Boston college football teams, it got so bad that in 1937 on February 13th he moved the team to the nations capital Washington D.C  The redskins would find more success and a lot more love the the city then Boston had given them, and it would result in in multiple championships. Marshall would own the team until his death in 1969 the team would go on to be one of the most historic in the NFL winning 3  superbowls  and developing some of the most intense football rivalries with the Dallas cowboys and New York.  http...
