The shot

                   Cliff Tucker: The shot

Cliff tucker was a collegiate basketball player for the University of Maryland. He played in the last years of the Gary Williams era who was the Greatest coach in the schools history and he played with his teammate and friend Grevis Vasquez who is another Maryland legend. He was part of the 2009-10 team that tied long time hated rival Duke for the ACC regular season title.

The Above picture is the aftermath of the infamous shot which has gone down as a great moment in sports history. Tucker played with the Terps from 2007-2011 staying all four years and then attempting to go pro after his collegiate career.

On February 20th 2010 playing against ACC opponent Georgia Tech Cliff would hit a huge shot that would go down as one of the biggest moments in his career. Let's rewind a couple seconds earlier to when teammate Vasquez hit a desperation three that went in at the buzzer, but was waived off because assistant coach Kieth booth panicked and called a timeout before the shot went in so it wouldn't count.

With only a few seconds left Tucker (after the timeout) hit the game winning three to overcome Georgia Tech and making a wild Finish

Unfortunately For the community Cliff Tucker was killed in a car accident  in 2018 shocking the Maryland community and saddening us all for the loss of a great individual. He was 29 years old at the time of his passing.
